Meet Mihaela Lica - Blog Star

At the Thanksgiving Weekend Writers Cafe talk turned to what we appreciate about writing, blogging and business.

A common theme soon emerged. We agreed that the best thing about blogging is the people we meet on the web.
Some like Joanna Young from Confident Writing, have been lucky enough to talk to blogging friends by phone.

Have any of you had the chance to meet your blog buddies or fellow bloggers in person?

Mihaela Lica
One blogger I really admire, and who I am honored to count as a friend, is Mihaela Lica, also known as Mig. Many of you know her from her blog Ewritings Public Relations Online and Pamil Visions. She really got my attention with Blogger Power, an initiative she co-founded to protect children on the web.

She is also the PR whiz at You Can Submit. Now you can meet Mig through her online public relations work at Top Hosting Center. Check out the video.

Getting Your Message Across On You Tube
I recently wrote a post at Home Biz Notes - 13 You Tube Tips - Getting Your Message Across.
Mig’s video ticks all the boxes. It’s a great example of using multimedia to convey your message and consolidate your business brand.

Over To You

How do you think you could use multimedia to add some “oomph” to your blog or site? Have you tried podcasting or video?

  1. Yvonne, thank you! Words fail me right now. I cannot really express what I feel and how honored I am. What a wonderful friend you are!
A “blog star” - this sounds so beautiful for a dreamer. :) You made me so happy today, happy to read that you consider me your friend and that you count on me. Thank you, thank you again!

    All my love,

    Mig

  2. Hi Mig
It’s a pleasure to feature you as a Grow Your Writing Business Blogstar. It’s well deserved.

I’m so pleased I was able to bring a special sparkle to your day. :)

  3. It was such fun to get to know Mig better. I must get into the act and get an AuthorVid made to promote my children’s author activities and presentations! Or my speaking about Alzheimer’s and caregiving. (Actually speaking is another way a writer can derive income from his/her home based writing business.)

  4. Hi Mary Emma
I’ll be interested to follow your progress on this. It seems like a great way to use a different medium for publicity and communication.

  5. A useful topic: what does it take to produce a video to place on your blog? Software, widgets, how to imbed graphics, equipment — camera and sound — and tricks in sizing it into your theme.

    Inquiring minds want to know!

  6. Good idea, Scot. I’ll write such an entry soon for youcansubmit and I am sure that Yvonne will let you know when it is done. :)

  7. Scot - What a great suggestion. I’m very interested to know the process too.

Mig - Thanks for doing this. That’s wonderful.

It sounds like it may take a few entries, as there is, no doubt, a lot to it. You did a great job with the video - very professional.

I will definitely let everyone know when you’ve posted.
