The Power of Thank You

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more Business is just as much about relationships as our life outside our work. Glenda Watson Hyatt has this down pat. I hosted the Grand Finale of Glenda’s virtual book tour for I’ll Do It Myself here at Grow Your Writing Business. The tour was a big success and we had a ton of fun.

A Surprise In the Mail

Well, when I checked my postbox for snail mail, I was thrilled to discover Glenda had sent me a Thank You Card. The cover was the “I’ll Do It Myself” book cover with a personalized message inside. What a lovely gesture! She knows how to network and market in style, and with a personal touch.

Saying Thank You With Style

Glenda has given me permission to share what it said.

Dear Yvonne
Thank you for graciously hosting my “Summer Soujourn” virtual book tour finale in grand style. Your participation contributed to the amazing magic of this tour. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Brisbane.

I would also like to add that I enjoy your blog and always learn somethingabout writing when I pop by for a read. I’ll check out the Writers Cafe soon.

Wishing you every success with your writing.

Cheers
Glenda

When I in turn thanked Glenda she said “I thought it was one way to make “invisible” relationships more tangible.”

Thank You To All Grow Your Writing Business Readers

So I want to take a leaf out of Glenda’s book and thank all of you… all the readers here at Grow Your Writing Business. We’re developing a great community here, and I always appreciate you taking the time to drop by.

  1. Yes I believe in the power of saying thank-you. Not only is it the right thing to do, it’s one way to differentiate yourself from business competitors. Best news — it’s not even difficult to do.

  2. Yvonne - You are so right, Laura. Yet, it does not seem to be all that common.

  3. and Yvonne, thank you for writing in this blog, contributing your own idea, making the blogosphere a better place. Thank you.
