These are pretty amazing stats about blogging trends from the organizers of the upcoming Blog Expo to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Thursday - Friday, Nov. 8 - 9, 2007.

Some of the stats have an American rather than international slant, but they are powerful stats indeed. It would be interesting to see the updated stats a year down the track to compare the growth.

• Over 12 million American adults currently maintain a blog.
• Over 57 million Americans read blogs.
• Technorati is currently tracking over 70 million blogs.
• over 120 thousand blogs are created every day.
• There are over 1.4 million new blog posts every day.
