Shared Answers - The First Posts are Rolling In - Don’t Miss Out

shared answers 2007 group writing project

It’s not too late to join our Shared Answers Group Writing Project - Closes August 15, 2007
This project is hosted by Grow Your Writing Business and Writing Thoughts.

A Shared Answers Sneak Preview

There will be a full roundup of all posts, but here is a sneak preview of some already in, to give you an idea of the different approaches. These are links to the first post detailing the problem. I’m spreading a little link love to those who helped kick off the project with us. You’ll have to visit the blogs to find out the solutions. ;)

SEO Goodness Tip

I can’t wait to read the rest of your entries. Just a little tip - once you’ve posted both the problem and solution, be sure to include a link from the first post to the second and vice versa. Apart from helping readers find both your posts easily, remember that internal linking is great for SEO.

Be Mild or Go Wild - Shared Answers is For Everyone

The beauty of the Shared Answers Group Writing Project is we get to learn from each other. You can write on any topic, so there’s plenty of scope. Write on your blog topic to stay on brand, or break out and do something altogether different. It’s a good chance for readers to get to know you better too.

Lots of Links and a Prize Too

Thanks to all who are helping us spread the word about the Shared Answers Group Writing Project. We all want to read your entries, and Laura’s itching to do the prize draw. Unfortunately, Laura and I aren’t eligible. If I won the $30 Amazon gift voucher, inspired by what I’m learning in Blog Mastermind, I’d be buying Tim Ferriss’s 4 Hour Working Week. In fact, I have it on order. And then there’s the links to your blog… lots of them. Get writing!

  1. I second what Yvonne says! Everyone definitely wins with this project.

  2. P.S. I don’t mean everyone gets a gift certificate, I mean that the project should be a valuable experience for everyone involved.

  3. Hi Laura - It’s great to see the entries starting to come in. What I’m finding interesting is that regardless of the topic, you can take something away from it.

  4. Yvonne,

Everything looks great so far! I’ve enjoyed the entries I’ve read. Now, I’ve just got to come up with something to write my entries about! I seem to be experiencing a bad case of writer’s block on this one! Guess I’ll just have to think harder–either that or relax and let the ideas flow!

  5. Jeanne - Ah… writer’s block… there’s a problem you can write about right there. ;) I’m sure an idea will come to you when you least expect it. You have about a week left, so you have a bit of time for your muse to come visiting. I look forward to reading your entry.

Thanks for all your interest and support for our Shared Answers project - much appreciated.

  6. I really enjoyed doing this even though it was a writing exercise. Thank you for allowing me to participate.
Don’t forget that you can do EFT Tapping to unblock writers block.

  7. Hi Carol - I’m so pleased that you enjoyed joining in our Shared Answers Group Writing Project. Check back to see a roundup of all the entries after the closing date. Ah… the dreaded writer’s block… ;)

  8. Not all linking is good for SEO, so take care how you do it. :) Linking is better for people, to be able to trace your steps, than for the search engines. Besides, people don’t care about “nofollow” attributes, because they don?t see them. So… no matter what kind of a link you get in a post, it’s a good link, especially if it sends you passionate readers who will strengthen your community.
I really have to find time for the shared answers… Just two more days huh? I’ll try to do the first today.

  9. Hi Mig - Thanks for the SEO tips. I hope you have time to join in the Shared Answers Group Writing Project. :)
