Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award

grow your writing business wins rockin girl blogger awardLaura Spencer from Writing Thoughts has awarded me the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award. I’m honored. Thanks Laura. I love the hot pink button too… cool, trendy and fun… just like this award.

It’s my pleasure to award the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award to the following great bloggers. Feel free to pass it on to other Rockin’ Girl Bloggers.

The Rockin’ Girl Blogger Award Goes To…

Lisa Gates at Design Your Writing Life. Always insightful, Lisa combines wisdom with a dash of humor… a perfect combination.

Alicia Spark at Writing Spark. Alicia is a freelance writer and editor, (and a major Harry Potter fan). Her blog is a great read for freelancers.

Anne Wayman at the Golden Pencil. No list of great writing bloggers would be complete without Anne. The Golden Pencil is a must read blog for writers and aspiring writers.

Lori Widmer at Words On the Page. This is another of my favorite blogs for both experienced and new writers. Lori is currently running a series on query letters, especially for the beginning writer.

Liz Lewis at My Year of Getting Published. Liz is a great example of setting your eye on a goal and going for it… definitely a Rockin’ Girl Blogger!

Joanna Young at Confident Writing. Joanna offers consistently useful and interesting information. Like Lisa Gates at Design Your Writing Life, Joanna is a writing coach.

Alfa Mercado at Apple Door Says No to Bundy Clocks who shares practical tips, ideas and job leads for home based workers.

Claudia Pena at ClaudiaPena.com, who writes beautiful poetry and says “language is a translation of grace…”

Toni Platon-Tui at Wifely Steps. Toni’s blog has a real sense of community drawn together by her positivity. In the hustle and bustle of a working day, this blog is a great place to relax.

Christina Katz at Writer Mama. Christina is the author of “Writer Mama: How to Raise a Writing Career Alongside Your Kids”. She is a keen blogger, and says writers can’t afford not to blog.

Congratulations to all the Rockin’ Girl Bloggers! Pass it on.

  1. Congratulations, Yvonne, on receiving the award!

Just noticed that you’ve nominated two of the girl bloggers that I myself had chosen for the award: Anne Wayman and Joanna Young! (Wrote my post earlier today, but planned to wait until late tonight in the US–which will be tomorrow in Australia–to post it, since I’ve already posted an entry in the past 24 hours.)

Guess I’ll just have to think of two other girl bloggers to pass the award on to! (Hope no one else posts before I do and “steals” any of my other nominees!)

    Hmmm…let’s see…who shall it be?

    Jeanne

  2. Sorry Jeanne.. I’m sure they won’t mind if they get two awards.

  3. Hmmm…That’s a thought, Yvonne. Hadn’t really thought of that. I guess it is a bit of an honor in itself to be nominated twice. Maybe I’ll just leave the blog post as is, after all, since it will actually go live fairly soon and I haven’t yet had time to track down any other nominees.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
    Jeanne

  4. Whoah! What an honor! Thanks Yvonne.

  5. Alfa - You’re welcome. You have a great blog with lots of useful tips and info.

  6. I don’t get it… why do we need to choose 10 bloggers? All the girls I want to tag have already received the award, (well except two or three). Ohhhh… I’m frustrated.

  7. Hi Mig - I just took my lead from Laura. Apparently, that’s how it works. I do understand how you feel, though. For future memes, I’m going to go beyond my usual favorites, and go exploring… as I come across so many great blogs.

  8. Congratulations, Yvonne! Like Mig, many of my favorites have already been named, but I’ll find others.

  9. Lillie - Thanks and congrats to you too.

  10. Congratulations Yvonne for this well deserved recognition.

  11. Hi Rach - I see you have already won this award. Otherwise I would have tagged you too.

  12. These are all good choices! I’m glad you guys are having fun with this award.

  13. Laura - Yes. This is a fun award. Thanks for the tag.

  14. Yvonne, what a delightful surprise! Congratulations to you and all on your list.
Wow, am I in good company.
I’ve said it before, but…I want to be Yvonne when I grow up. You’re a terrific model of great human/great blogger.

  15. Lisa - It’s a pleasure to give you this award. You are indeed a Rockin’ Girl Blogger. Thanks for your kind words.

  16. Thanks Yvonne! I’m very flattered to have received this from you. Rock on!

  17. Toni - Your blog is always so positive and delightful to visit. Rock on, indeed. ;)

  18. Hey Yvonne, thanks so much for the award! I’m afraid I’m going to break the rules and pass it on to just two fellow rockers… They are both great bloggers though…

I’m in meme debt so having to go for cheap and cheerful responses or I’ll never catch up!

    Joanna

  19. Hi Joanna - You’e welcome. You’re a Rockin’ Girl Blogger. You can make your own rules. ;) I do know what you mean by meme debt, though.

  20. Hi Yvonne, wow, thanks for the award. I feel happy to be in such great company. Will do a little thinking and pass it on to other deserving bloggers.

    Cheers, Liz
