Grow Your Writing Business Featured at b5 Media Home Biz Notes
Mary Emma Allen interviewed me at b5 media’s Home Biz Notes.
Part 1 - Conducting Your Home Business Around the World
Part 2 - More From Yvonne on Conducting Your Home Business Around the World
We discussed the flexibility the internet offers home business owners, including writers, to conduct their businesses while on vacation. When I explored the possibility of an overseas home exchange I found I could easily take my writing business with me.
I thoroughly enjoyed my discussion with Mary Emma. Mary Emma’s Home Biz Notes is a wonderful resource for home business owners, including writers. She extends this invitation “I’d enjoy hearing about other home businesses, ideas and tips about what has worked and not worked for you. If you’d like to share, even be interviewed, do contact me. ”
If you have a home business, and would like to be interviewed for Home Biz Notes, just let Mary Emma know.

Congratulations! That’s a wonderful accomplishment.
Thanks Laura. It was fun - and an honour to be interviewed.
I enjoyed interviewing you, Yvonne. You had some great ideas to add to information I’d mentioned in a previous post. I’ve also been impressed with what you’re doing on your blog to help encourage other in developing their writing business.
Thanks Mary Emma. Your blog is a great home business resource for any home business owner, including writers. I love blogging and have met so many wonderful people through my blog, so thanks for your positive feedback and encouragement about what I am trying to achieve here.

carl
Hi Carl - Thanks. Maybe I should interview you here at Grow Your Writing Business. What do you think?
Yvonne,
Thanks for stopping by my new gig, the Outdoor Weblog. And a BIG congratulations on your interview and the success of Grow Your Writing Business. Admittedly, I’m waaay behind on my blog reading (I’ve been traveling), but I’m home now and I plan to read every post from March 1 (the last day I think I read it) until today.
Thank you for the support,
Terah
Terah - great to see you here again. Yes, I read on Traveler’s Pen that you were off on one of your wonderful adventures. You’ll have plenty to write about for your new gig. Look forward to seeing you here again now that you’re back. I’ll be visiting over at Outdoor Weblog too.
Hi Yvonne, I have a question. I would like to work from home, but I do not want my own business. I am not that ambitious. Truly I would just like to work for someone. Do you have any suggestions? I know you talk about writing and I would love to be able to write, but I do not have that kind of talent. I know my limitations. Well I thought I would ask, but please don’t feel obligated to answer. I know that you give great information and help to those who want to write for a living. I enjoy reading your blog.
Hi Nancze
I was going to introduce a question feature at Grow Your Writing Business, so thanks for kicking this off for me. I would be happy to offer some suggestions, and answer this on my blog. I’ll email you.
Hello Nancze,
I’ll jump into the conversation here, if you and Yvonne don’t mind. More and more companies are doing outsourcing…right in their backyard or over the Internet nowadays. Check in your area to see if there are any companies that set people up to work for them…but at their own home. I have a friend who started working for a company (solving customer’s cable set-up problems or something similar) but after she was trained was set up to do this in her home. She has to work specific hours (not on her own whim). She says they’re setting up more of their employees to do this, which works out great for parents. Instead of outsourcing to another country, other companies are following suit and looking for people nearby to work at home. I write Home Biz News (the blog where Yvonne was interviewed), and you’ve given me a topic to pursue further there.
This is great Mary Emma. I will make some suggestions via my blog, but if other readers have suggestions for Nancze, please feel free to add them to the conversation in this thread.
Very cool! You’re rising to the top! You should be very proud of yourself.
Thanks Gayla. Coming from you that means a lot! Thanks for your support and encouragement - much appreciated.
Yvonne
